Access Control
How does permit-based access control work?
Digital permits automatically grant access to authorized vehicles. When a permit holder approaches the gate, their license plate or QR code is recognized, permit status is validated in real-time, and the gate opens automatically—no cards or remotes needed.
What happens when someone without a permit tries to enter?
Unauthorized vehicles are automatically denied entry. The system captures photos, logs the attempt, and can send real-time alerts to property managers. Optional guest registration allows temporary access for pre-approved visitors.
Can visitors get temporary access?
Yes! Residents can send temporary access codes to visitors through the mobile app. Visitors scan a QR code or enter a code at the gate to receive limited-time access that automatically expires.
Does access control work with existing gate hardware?
ParkStash integrates with most existing gate and barrier systems through standard relay connections. Our system simply sends open/close signals to your current hardware—no replacement needed in most cases.
